Episode Twenty-One
Editor's Note:

Mr. Peterson has offered this text in substitution for any
specific information about "Randi":

Mr. Peterson once decided that his notes couldn't be complete
without some more definitive information about who and what Randi
was. So, very quietly, he started investigating. For a long time
this didn't produce much result, and more than once he thought of
abandoning the whole idea.

Then, finally, there was a breakthrough and he started to find out
some things. One night, as he went over his notes, he suddenly
felt very sleepy. The next thing he knew, he woke up to see the
morning sun streaming into the apartment. He had fallen asleep at
his desk, and as he started to look around he realized that all
his notes on Randi were gone. The notebooks were still there, but
those particular pages were blank, as if he had never written on
them.

He knew this was the very mildest possible rebuke, and he took it
to heart.
